User Policy / Acceptable Use Policy

Effective: October 3, 2026

This User Policy applies to DivisionDesk accounts, Website Auditor, Webmaster Tools, automated crawling and scanning, bulk-processing features, uploaded content, APIs, software downloads, and other DivisionDesk services.

Authorization to scan or test

Users may submit websites, domains, applications, files, or systems only when they own them, administer them, have permission from the owner or operator, or otherwise have lawful authority to perform the requested analysis. Public availability of a URL does not automatically grant permission for intrusive or restricted testing.

Automated crawling and scanning

DivisionDesk may make automated HTTP, DNS, TLS, browser, standards-validation, and related requests required for a requested audit or tool. Users must not use the service to intentionally overload a target, evade access controls, probe prohibited private systems, or conduct activity designed to harm or disrupt another service.

Accounts and credentials

Users must not share credentials in a manner that bypasses plan, licensing, or account restrictions. Authentication material supplied for an authorized staging or restricted audit must be limited to the access needed for that audit and must not be supplied without authorization.

Credits and usage limits

DivisionDesk may apply daily allowances, credit costs, concurrency limits, URL limits, rate limits, file-size limits, timeouts, retention limits, and other safeguards. Attempting to evade or reset limits through multiple accounts, automated identities, manipulated requests, or other circumvention is prohibited.

Bulk processing and uploads

Bulk image optimization, file processing, and similar tools are intended for legitimate content the user is authorized to process. Users must not upload malware, unlawful material, confidential information they are not authorized to disclose, or content intended to exploit the service or its users.

Automated access

Automated use of public interfaces must respect published APIs, authentication requirements, robots or access controls where applicable, and reasonable request rates. Scraping, credential stuffing, denial-of-service activity, uncontrolled parallel requests, or attempts to bypass technical controls are prohibited.

Prohibited abuse

  • Unauthorized security testing, access, credential use, or scanning.
  • Malware distribution, command-and-control activity, phishing, spam, fraud, or impersonation.
  • Attempts to interfere with, disable, overload, reverse engineer security controls, or circumvent licensing and entitlement systems.
  • Use that infringes intellectual property, privacy, confidentiality, contractual, or other legal rights.
  • Use intended to manipulate DivisionDesk public showcases, scores, usage accounting, credits, referrals, or payment systems.

Audit recommendations and suggested fixes

DivisionDesk may provide code snippets, header examples, configuration changes, SEO recommendations, accessibility guidance, and other suggested fixes. These recommendations are evidence-based where possible but require user review. Users are responsible for backups, testing, deployment, and deciding whether a recommendation is appropriate for their platform and goals.

No certification or guarantee

A DivisionDesk score, report, recommendation, or completed check is not a certification or guarantee of SEO ranking, accessibility compliance, security, legal compliance, performance, browser compatibility, or future results. A passing check means only that the tested condition was not identified by that check using the evidence available at that time.

Third-party services

Users must comply with applicable third-party terms when DivisionDesk interacts with external APIs, search engines, payment providers, social platforms, hosting services, DNS systems, or other providers.

Fair use and resource protection

DivisionDesk may slow, queue, pause, reject, or limit workloads that create unusual resource pressure, threaten reliability, or impose unreasonable load on DivisionDesk or third-party systems. Safety controls may apply even when an account has available credits.

Enforcement

DivisionDesk may investigate suspected abuse and may warn, throttle, suspend, restrict, or terminate access when reasonably necessary to enforce this Policy, protect users or systems, comply with law, or preserve service reliability.

Availability

DivisionDesk services depend on networks, hosting, browsers, external providers, and other systems. Features may be temporarily unavailable or produce incomplete results when those dependencies fail or limit access.

Reporting concerns

Questions about permitted use or reports of abuse may be directed to support@divisiondesk.com.
