# First-run setup
1. Open Administration → Social Media.
2. Choose Connect or Skip for each offered network.
3. Authorize only the scopes the organization needs.
4. Test each connection.
5. Set notifications for comments, supported private messages, mentions, failed posts and expiring connections.
6. Create hashtag sets and publishing defaults.
7. Add Social Feed blocks/widgets if desired.
8. Review the platform-specific requirements before first production publish.
All fetch/AJAX operations must show a descriptive working state, disable the initiating control while running, prevent repeated submissions, and re-enable the control on both success and failure.
