# Platform-specific guidance

## Facebook Pages and Instagram Professional
Use a Meta developer app and appropriate Page/Instagram permissions. Instagram publishing requires supported media; text-only Instagram posts are rejected before scheduling. Messenger/Instagram messaging features must honor Meta messaging policy and permitted windows.

## X
Use X API v2 user-authorized access. X is metered and rate limited. Treat HTTP 429 as a deferred retry condition, not as a reason for users to repeatedly click Publish.

## LinkedIn Pages
Use the current LinkedIn Posts/Community Management APIs with organization authorization and current version headers. Do not advertise ordinary Page messaging unless the app has an approved capability for it.

## YouTube
Use OAuth and the YouTube Data API. Publishing requires video upload, normally via resumable upload. Unverified API projects can have uploads forced private until Google audit requirements are met.

## Bluesky
Use AT Protocol. Text posts are records; image/video embeds require uploaded blobs before record creation.

## Mastodon
Connect to the organization's HTTPS instance. Capabilities can vary by instance/server version. Statuses, replies, notifications and direct-visibility conversations are supported where exposed.

## Pinterest
Use a Pinterest Business/developer account and API v5. Publishing is visual-first; text-only publishing is not offered.

## TikTok
Content Posting requires app approval, authorization, creator-info eligibility checks, and TikTok-required posting UX/disclosure. Photo/video media is required.
