# Publishing permissions
- Every authenticated member: create and publish their own Articles.
- `publishing.article.unpublish`: unpublish Articles.
- `publishing.news_release.create` / `.publish` / `.unpublish`: News Release controls.
- `publishing.announcement.create` / `.publish` / `.unpublish`: Announcement controls.
- `publishing.edit_others`: edit publications written by other members.
- `publishing.analytics.view`: view Publishing analytics.
- `publishing.manage`: full Publishing administration.
Unpublishing preserves the content, revision history, analytics and audit trail while removing it from public search.
